Ambassador’s Entrepreneurial Challenge in the Business Kitchen
“Be Innovative. Be Visionary”
Helsinki’s U.S. Embassy organizes an annual Entrepreneurial Challenge for the youth in Finland called Ambassador’s Entrepreneurial Challenge. Semi-finals for Northern Finland were held in Oulu in the Business Kitchen on the 14th of October when five brave teams from ages 13-18 presented their business ideas to the representatives of the U.S. Embassy, J-Bear (of PolarBearPitching), and the Business Kitchen.
Finland’s entrepreneurial future seems bright! With youth learning to innovate for the future they themselves will be living in we can be sure that new fascinating businesses will be born.
As the US Embassy said: “You’re all winners for even showing up and taking a risk.” Let’s all keep this mentality!
The winner of the Regional Challenge will go on to National Finals in Helsinki, and the Winner from Finland will go to the USA for a several weeks to learn more about entrepreneurship and business creation. In Oulu the students had come up with a motivational app to improve your concentration time span, story café, wearable music solution, solution for tangled earphones and an intelligent connected alarm system. The winner was the Motivation App from Pyhäjoen lukio! Congratulations Hanna-Sofia Luoto, Ellinoora Leskinen, Tiia Keskinen and Sonja Seppä! We'll be hearing more of you!
