I heard of Start-up Weekend which was organized for the first time. It was April 2016 and I signed up. I was expecting to find members for the team and develop a business idea I had. Our team won the competition and as a result I was recruited by OP.
Marjaana Annala organizes events and works as a generalist at OP Lab. Her career at OP started last summer as a summer job. When she heard of Business Kitchen for the first time, visiting there as a part of the International Business studies, the place and the way of studying seemed exciting and new.
“Business Kitchen has given me massive amounts of good things. The most important are the people. I’ve met so many supportive people there and made good contacts. Before Business Kitchen I didn’t really know what I’d do in the future but now I feel I’ve found my path. I think the most characteristic trait of Business Kitchen is creating opportunities.”
“Three words I would describe Business Kitchen with are brave, creative and supportive. First I felt frightened to join the community, because I had no idea who are they and what happens there, but I was welcomed warmly and generously. This is a great opportunity to everyone thinking about entrepreneurship or looking for their “thing”.
“My life would be so different without the influence of Business Kitchen. They do important work to make things possible.”
