Midnight Pitch Fest 2014 Recap. Last week in Nallikari tens of startup companies got their five minutes to advertise their products or services in front of a big audience, including investors and other people interested in entrepreneurship. We got about 2000 visitors – more than last year – and now that the event is over we can say this year’s Midnight Pitch Fest was successful. Our lovely mascot from Polar Bear Pitching – J-Bear was present to entertain the audience.

Way more than 100 startup companies sent their application for pitching stage, but only about 75 startups got selected into pitching.

There were many good pitches and the category winners were Keemotion from Games & Entertainment, PintPlease from B2C, Kyynel from Hardware category, WellBiome from Health and – last but not least – Fourdeg from B2B category. MyPose was announced as audience favorite.

During the event we had many interesting speakers on Keynote stage such as Stuart Chapman, Neil Fenton, Avani Patel, Juuso Myllyrinne and Teemu Arina.

Midnight Pitch Fest got a lot of social media coverage. MPF twitter account was actively updated so it was easy to keep up with pitches and speeches. The audience also tweeted actively which made tweets under the hashtag #pitchfestoulu reach about 18 000 people altogether.

Even though the summer here we are looking forward to winter and Polar Bear Pitching. Hope to see you all there!
